Our Vision

Red represents ‘Socialism’ - Lion Represents ‘Patriotism’

Our vision is Patriotic Socialism.

We are loyal to our motherland whose preference is for a ‘Socialist’ economic system.

We do not intend to wear coloured glasses and blindly follow party politics. As one of the Great Chinese leaders said: “We do not care whether the cat is black or white if it catches mice’

Note about my political view:

Please do not be offended if you have a different political view. I am not the supporter of any political party or blindly aligned to any political vision. But I like socialism as it offers the best social justice and human economic system. I believe that 0 star socialism is better than 5 star capitalism. I have come to that conclusion by living in three different systems: 22 years semi socialist and capitalist (Sri Lanka), 16 years in Capitalist country which has some borrowed attributes from socialism (UK), 4 years in a bad socialist system, Communist Soviet Union. In the Soviet Union I noticed so many good things even though it was not an ideal or the best socialist state.

My political view is also not a constant. It’s changing. Once I thought ‘Ravaya’ news paper editor ‘Victor Ivan’ is a patriot. But now I think he is a traitor. At the early days I like ‘Mrs. Chandrika Kumaratunga’. Now I hate her as same as Mr. J. R. Jayewardene or Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe. Years ago I hate Mr. Rohana Wijeweera thinking he was a CIA agent. But now I see him as a true patriot and revolutionary. Today my favorite politician is Mr. Wimal Weerawansa. He is leftist politician but not a hard co text book socialist like Mr. Somawansa Amarasinghe. He is a nationalist and patriot but not like extreme nationalist like Jathika Helaurumaya politicians such as Mr. Champeka Ranawake etc. But how he will act when any considerable political power is given to him only ‘God’ knows. Secondly I like President Mahinda Rajapaksa. At the beginning I was very much suspicious of him because he had connection with NGOs and his wife is a ‘Christian’. I thought he was another ‘Vatican Agent’. But today I see him differently. That’s how our views are changing. May be one day I might think that General Fonseka is a good president or President we never had just like Mr. Lalith Athulayhmudali.

I write what I think now. Sometimes you may not agree with me then you can write to me. I write as a mental exercise as I am unwell at the moment. If u think that my opinions are worthwhile commenting please send your comments to me. If these are useful for the country then I might forward this to relevant people or media. Thank you for reading my and other articles posted in this ‘BlogSpot’.
