Why do we support President Mahinda Rajapaksa ?

We support President Mahinda Rajapaksa to be our next president:

Not because:

We blindly support any person or political party.
We have or will have any kind of personal gains out of his victory.

But we know:

There are many corrupt politicians around President Rajapaksa.

But our intentions are:

The benefit of the people and the country.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa is the best choice we have at the moment for the sake of the stability of Sri Lanka. Any country to go forward that country must be stable and free of outside political interferences. President Rajapaksa proved that he is not a puppet leader who bows his head to the Western Imperialist masters. That is one of the main reasons those powers actively but secretly support the opposition candidate Ret. General Sarath Fonseka for the presidency. The Western powers want to punish President Mahinda Rajapaksa for his disobedience to scare off other leaders in the world. Just like they punished ‘President Milosevic’ (President of Former Yugoslavia and later Serbia) and ‘President Sadam Hussein’ (President of Iraq). On the other hand ‘LTTE’ sympathizers within Sri Lanka and in the West want to get their revenge for the death of their fascist leader and his gang.

We must show our gratitude towards the president and show those evil forces that we are a great nation not a stupid and coward nation with a short memory.

We can secondly deal with those local corrupt politicians. That is an in-house problem which President Mahinda Rajapaksa should tackle immediately after his reelection. Let Ret. General Sarath Fonseka to show some political maturity and sense in the parliament. He hasn't got any medals in the political battlefield. Most of his supporters are corrupt individuals, separatists and rejected politicians by the majority of the people. If President doesn’t fulfill his promises in the next 6 years then we can consider supporting Ret. General or somebody else for the presidency of Sri Lanka at that time. So our support to President Mahinda Rajapaksa is not a life time approval or a blind support.

We want the ‘Victory to our mother land’. In this election ‘Victory of President Mahinda Rajapaksa has become the ‘Victory of our motherland. That’s why we support President Mahinda Rajapaksa in this presidential election.
